The role and you:

Playing an integral part in the coordination of category related collateral, this fast-paced role reports directly to a Merchandise Manager and ensures that category/merchandise plans are rolled out to schedule.

This role is within the 4x4 Adventure & Escape category which has a diverse and exciting product range including 4x4 and outdoor as well as the Bathurst Merchandise and gifting ranges.

You’ll know you’re the right person for the role if you have a resilient, tenacious personality, you thrive in a fast-paced role, and you love the challenge of meeting defined deadlines. Able to work with set objective and set information, and yet still be able to find a way around information that may sometimes seem ambiguous, you’ll rely on your problem-solving skills, asking questions along the way.

Duties include:

  • Meet business objectives in relation to category plans
  • Ensuring catalogue deadlines are met
  • New product research
  • Data analysis and review
  • Report preparation and presentation
  • General administration support related to the role and category
  • Internal and external stakeholder relationship building

The successful applicant will have:

  • Category, merchandise or buying exposure, or a passion for developing a career in this area
  • Retail or FMCG experience desirable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop solid stakeholder relationships
  • Well-developed excel skills, and good experience in all other Microsoft packages
  • A love of data and ability to analyse information
  • A keen eye for detail, and strong sense of logic
  • Administrative prowess
  • A natural ability to be organised
